A 46-year-old woman, Mariléia F.d.S., died after being struck by a vehicle on the BR-364 highway. Mariléia was a passenger on a motorcycle driven by her husband, 47-year-old Altemir d.S.M., when they collided with a cattle truck.

Altemir, who did not hold a driver's license, survived but sustained abrasions across his body and a fracture to his right scapula. The truck driver remained at the scene and gave a statement to authorities.
