Brazilian Man Was Mauled to Death By Jaguar
Aquidauana, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil 60-year-old Jorge A., who worked as the caretaker of a farm on the banks of the Miranda River, was mauled to death by a jaguar in the early hours of Monday (21). Blood and tissue was found at the scene of the attack, with the jaguar's footprints leading searchers to a difficult-to-access area of a nearby forest. On Tuesday (22), other parts of Jorge's corpse was found at what appeared to be some sort of den of the jaguar - experts note that jaguars commonly drag large prey to their dens. During the search, the jaguar returned and pounced on the rescue group, scratching the arm of one of the searchers (the wound can be seen in the last video). The jaguar was scared away with gunshots. |

Re: Brazilian Man Was Mauled to Death By Jaguar
The first video here is CCTV footage from last month, showing a jaguar on the farm. The second video, from a week before his death, shows Jorge warning about the presence of jaguars on the farm, showing some recent footprints. He also jokes about the possibility of being attacked by a jaguar. |

'lol, the jaguar staking out the area might attack me, lol.' yes. surveillance is arguably the most important part of any mission, and this jaguar is a pro. now ya dead. |

Fun fact: jaguars have the strongest bite force of any cat species on Earth. They kill full grown caimans by biting down, and crushing the skull.
