You'd think they'd get you sooner for losing their drugs. If he wasn't just released from prison, he might have been killed for being an informer. In the second video you can see firstly he comes outside and has a look around, looks like he has a pistol at the ready in his hand. Maybe he thought as he got in the car that he was now in a more safe position, not knowing that was the death trap. Maybe he would have stood a minimal chance of survival using the car for cover, if only the ambush assassins had arrived moments earlier.
