Re: Brazil - Young Man Jumps from a Bridge into a River

This video clip is film of the first guy to try a parachute. REALLY TRULY! He wanted to demonstrate it from the Eiffel tower, and had cameramen there to record it.

That was back when DR was only aural, and not visual. If you joined DR, people just read you the story about terrible things that happened. Also, it only cost 15 cents a year.

Also, there was no section on embalming, because embalming hadn't been invented yet.

Also, the section on "Airplane Crashes" was completely empty.

Also, there were no shootings in Brazil, because back then, a pistol cost AT LEAST $1. and no one in Brazil had that much money.

But they DID have a section on "Pirate Attacks" which has since been deleted due to inactivity.

Chris can tell you all about how things were on DR back in the old days! Just ask him!!

I speak Spanish, but I could actually understand some of what they were saying to him: "we all have problems, he has problems, I have problems. We all go through this."

Lol, if he wanted to die in Brazil all hed have to do is stand on a street corner minding his own business. Somebody with an itchy trigger finger is bound to pop up at some point .

I didn't know the Eiffel tower was constructed before the Egyptian pyramids, because they were burying embalmed mummies by then.
Is nice to learn something new every day!

Poor kid was super depressed and obviously had no one to talk to or to lean on. Felt so strongly that he was willing to throw it all away, think most of us think about suicide but don’t have the courage to go through with it. Wether for good or bad is your choice to make.
