Yes. This is accurate. I've seen this play out time and time again. Someone new to snowmobiling, jet skiing or riding an ATV.

People shouting: "Wtf were you doing? Let go of the throttle on a snowmobile, or reapply the throttle and turn the jetski!"

It's always a newb on a rental doing the most with the least common sense.

Add confusion (intoxication) and panic to the situation it can easily become a deadly combo.

like you i'm always sadder when the woman is more attractive, ugly chicks don't trigger the same feels.
But this girl was so dumb i almost don't care for her - it wasn't an murder , or drive by, or random accident. it was an accident but self inflicted through arrogant stupidity.

one of my school friends who lived right next door to us when i was little got himself killed on a jet-ski.
you're not supposed to ride jet skis at night, they dont have headlights.

he was on it at 1am doing 60mph and hit a dock. He got obliterated.

in safety tests they found that wearing a helmet does nothing to protect you in a jet-ski crash, which is why they are not required.

You haven't slept with enough attractive women. After 110 or so it's not much different from microwaving a grapefruit and cutting a hole in it.

I honestly don't feel worse for attractive women than for 'plain janes' on DR. But both very old and young get most people's extra sympathy.
