Crazy these 3rd world countries have ambulances readily available for these kinds of situations. You would think with all the murders and bloodshed going on in brazil they would have their hands full

~ It happens when a person doesn't know the difference between choking & having a heart attack.
~ They thought he was choking after he bought a drink, which the lorry driver bought thinking it would help, so then he wanted them to strike him in the back to kinda kick start him up again.
~ So therefore the rescuers assumed he was choking, whereas the heimlich maneuver-ish.

He thought he had an airway obstruction, so he was doing the heimlich maneuver cause he was eating prior to the incident... His airway was more than likely clear, but was absent breath because of cardiac arrest

He was doing the Heimlich incorrectly, his arms were too high lol, you gotta get under the diaphragm. Cop needs retraining because his instructions were bad... and isn't going to help if someone is having a heart attack, but I'm not gonna fault them for that since it sounds like there was a miscommunication issue lol.
