Well not all of us. I watch a ton of true crime programs and sometimes the killers...their eyes just look dead. Nothing in them that would make me believe they have a sliver of a soul, feelings, care, nothing.
Not all of them, but a creepy good handful.

But they do do eye transplants! I mean not from a dead dead person...but someone in a hospital on life support, recently deceased or whatever! Every once in a while I come across some story of someone having gifted their organs, including eyes, to people in need of them.

Assuredly, the decedent sustained multiple projectile trauma...however, the facial wound in and of itself, conceivably may have been quite fatal, as there are major arteries parralelling the mandible, as well as throughout the facial region in general!
