Re: Brazil - Thief Dead After Being Shot During a Robbery
It is so obvious, when you look at the eyes, that "something" has left the body! Even when people are anesthetised, and their eyes are sometimes open, they don't have that empty look! We all really do have a soul!!!! |

It really depends on the condition ofthe deceased, the law dictates certain thing before someones organs could be used for medical purposes etc. Great camerawork btw. His throathole looked much nicer than his goatee |

Organs can be harvested from the recently deceased but there's definitely a time limit. Gary Gilmore (whom Norman Mailer wrote "the Executioner's Song" about) was executed by firing squad in Utah and his eyes (or corneas at least) were donated after his death.

If that is your best evidence for the existence of souls, I have a suggestion for you: don't go into Christian apologetics.

I have bad news for you, reality is not like in the movies, eyes can't be transplanted, they have direct connection to the geniculate body via the optical nerve, it is like matching nerve fiber against nerve fiber from donor to recipient, it is not happening anytime soon! |
