Brazil - Skeletonised Body of Young Man Recovered from a River
On the morning of 26th March 2022 in the Educandos neighbourhood (Brazil), the body of 21 year old L.H.C.d.A. was found in a river. Fishermen state that 'L' had been working at the nearby fair, unloading fish from a boat. Suddenly the police burst through the area, chasing a group of criminals. Startled by the situation, 'L' fell into the river; he couldn't swim. Several hours later, his skeletonised remains were recovered.

Re: Brazil - Skeletonised Body of Young Man Recovered from a River
Weird thing is that the mom told a total different story. According to the victim's mother, L.C, the boy, who played football professionally, was returning from a game with friends when he was approached by police, still unidentified. She accuses police officers of ordering the young man to jump into the river, even without knowing how to swim and shoot him. ” They called me and said: look, the police took your son, took him back there and they left him naked and let him fall into the water. They took him back, told him to put on his clothes and then played that game again,”. She says that witnesses who were passing in a canoe at the scene even tried to help the man, but police threatened them if they helped the boy. Firefighters were at the scene to carry out the search, as well as a team of Military Police. He was in the water for 11 hours so the fish were very hungry apparently |

There's also a third version that he was in fact being chased by the cops + jumped in the water to escape. I'm more inclined to believe the unbiased version of the fishermen.
