An off-duty, plainclothes military policeman responded to an assault and shot two suspects on Sunday night (21) at a gas station in the North Zone of São Paulo. One of the men died. The policeman was not injured. Security cameras on the property recorded the action.

According to information from the police report, the assailants approached a gas station attendant, 28, who was taken hostage, and then a 26-year-old convenience store attendant. They took the money that was in two boxes and tried to escape.

One of the videos on the security cameras shows the robbers running away and the policeman chasing. Then he pulls out his gun and fires at the men. One was killed and the other was injured.

After the police action, it was found that the weapon used by the criminals was a replica. The money was returned to the establishment.

In a note, the Public Security Secretariat informs that the case was registered, last Sunday (21), as theft, death resulting from police intervention, legitimate defence and personal injury by the 1st Police District of Guarulhos, in Greater São Paulo. Investigations continue on the 1st DP of the city.

The only discrepancy I see is that he was firing into oncoming traffic.. All it takes is one miss or richochet and someone else unrelated to this shit gets hurt of killed.. Yes, it was armed robbery, but these guys didnt shoot anyone
