I think this was an episode of "Deal or No Deal" and she said, "No Deal". My first thought when I saw this incredible flying machine being flown by a person with such an outstanding beard was "How could anything possibly go wrong?"

The kite line is coated with powdered glass and used in a game where you cut your opponents kite string. I did not see a kite in the area.

I think that is BS speculation from a bystander, not fact. The vid appears to show the right cord harness detaching from the aircraft frame (with no severed cords) and the left harness and cords appear fully in tact. |

It cut the cords to the parachute, and without that slowing his descent his device fell out of the sky.
