Two military police officers from the Border Operations Command (COD) were shot after a confrontation with three suspects involved in robberies and homicides in Corumbaíba, on the border between Goiás and Minas Gerais. The shootout began after the trio fled from an attempted stop by the police on the GO-164 highway. According to the Military Police (PM), one lieutenant was shot in the head, while his fellow officer was hit in the arm. The department stated that they are not in life-threatening condition. All three criminals, who had prior records for attempted homicide, homicide, and armed robbery, died in the confrontation.  ·  ·  · |
