Brazil - Man Dying After Being Shot at a Newstand
On the morning of 2nd September 2019 in Manaus (Brazil), 36 year old J.R.O. was murdered. 'J' who was a detainee of the semi-open regime for drug trafficking. He was with his wife + had just left the headquarters of the Secretariat of Penitentiary Administration for his ankle tag to be checked when he was approached by a car with 2 men inside. When 'J' noticed that the men were armed, he ran for his life. The gunmen cornered him at a newsstand + shot him several times. He died at the scene. The owner of the newsstand, 56 year old M.L.S., was shot in the leg + taken to the hospital for treatment. The police state that 'J' had killed a man 2 years ago during an exchange of gunshots with rival drug traffickers.      *There's only a brief close-up of him, sorry!
