Brazil - Hostage Taking Robbers Killed
"Brazil – On Wednesday night (04), two criminals were killed during a confrontation with the Military Police in the Engenheiro Pedreira neighborhood, in Japeri, in the Baixada Fluminense. At the time, the criminals were robbing a lottery shop located in that region. According to the PM, agents of the 24th BPM (Queimados) were called to verify an attempted robbery of a lottery. Arriving at the scene, the robbers shot at the police and there was a confrontation. Two suspects were shot and did not survive their injuries. With them, two 9mm pistols and two bags with cash were seized. One victim was taken hostage, but was released unharmed. The Baixada Fluminense Homicide Police Station was called and the case was registered at the 63rd DP (Japeri)."
