When the camera went in close and I saw the flurry of barelegs and flipflops, the manic, flailing of limbs pummeling and kicking the perpetrator, heard the strange, gibbering, unfamiliar dialect (surely it wasn't Portuguese or spanish?), felt the promise of fire in the air, I had to remember that this was brazil and not africa, and that they were brown not black  |
