When I was a kid, my dad had a pool table in the basement. When I got older I thought it would be fun to go to the local bowling alley/pool hall and play with some of those guys. I learned quick not too many places attract more troublemakers than a pool hall. I got into an 8 ball game with a guy for 10 bucks a game. I beat him a few times and he kept asking to double or nothing. When I wanted to quit, asked him to settle up he said he wasn't paying up because I wasn't being fair and told me we could go outside if I didn't like it. I told him he could keep his money. I went a few other times and each time guys ended up outside swinging pool ques at each other. I decided the basement was a safer option.
