A young motorcyclist, identified as Galo B., was murdered whilst travelling on his vehicle in Tosagua, Manabí province, Ecuador. According to witnesses, he was intercepted by unknown individuals, who shot him multiple times in the head.

Cartels have been getting more involved in territorial wars plus a new generation of cartel members have been learning/working with Mexican cartels alongside others foreign criminal organizations. It doesn't help that the government (rightfully) is starting to crack down more violently on these guys; pretty much an endless cycle of violence and retaliation has dawned on Ecuador. I haven't done too much detailed research into Ecuador but just from what I've read from news articles and other posts here.

What the hell is going on in Ecuador lately? Starting to give Brazil a run for its money Ecuador is a decent alternative for (narco) gangs of Colombia, El Salvador, Brazil,... cos the police / justice system is not so strong and experienced yet as those in the mentioned countries; |
