Where are the parent's, letting kids play on train tracks, what do you think was gonna happen?

you know,as an ex fire fighter and having seen several bodies that had been hit,the first continental railroad passes through my town (Cali),the tracks are split here,track one on the east side,track two on the other,several tunnels and two bridges,seen some nasty aftermaths,and yes..not much left after even a "sideswipe" as this seemed to be,so when i saw the photo of the body,i thought..hmm not as much damage as id have expected..so i still do wonder about it..not saying its fake..but maybe he tried to jump away/..might have minimized the damage?

don't want to sound any different but am i the only one who thinks the kids are indeed in the space between the two tracks and no one got hit? I can see that clear as a day .
