That is beyond fucked. Just imagine this: You're this child's mother or father and you see your son like this. He's dying, and you have to say your goodbyes, knowing he will not live. That's just fucked up.

when the main arteries are severed quickly they react by shrinking and closing consequently very little blood loss in accordance with the wounds. Prolongs your life but tbh who would want to prolong it in those circumstances ?
