Just a little FYI: Not all Africans are Boko Haram, and not all Arabs are ISIS (Daulat Islamia). They said they were Daulat Islamia, not Boko Haram. Let's not be like Fox News and just label whatever we want to people because of skin color. |

Right?! Here's a quick question my coworker asked me today: What religion are you?, she asked. Really? I don't practice a religion, I responded. She asked, "What don't you celebrate Christmas? Doesnt that make you a Christian?" I replied, "Just because I am American doesn't mean I am Christian..." She then asked, "Really you don't believe that there is a higher power?" ... Do you believe there is a higher power? Just one? Or are there many deities for each universal faction? Which one is God? How do you know? Got me thinking... Seriously, religion is ridiculous. All religion is based around the same exact thing. It's not which God,or Gods, we believe in, or how much we pray to them. It's not about the color of our skin, and it does not matter from which country we come. All current religions have come from the basic religion of our neanderthal cousin/ancestors. (Yes, neanderthals are both our ancestors and cousins. From about 100,000 years ago, the age of first human fossils; to about 40,000 years ago, the age of the youngest neanderthal fossil, neanderthals and humans reproduced together.) No matter... Only that religion first started out as the simplest answer to the universe's third hardest question, the astronomical "Why?" Since first time this topic was discussed, religion has been evolving. So over millennia it has evolved and evolved, much like a dominant allele in the human population.  Today there are 11 basic religions (Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Taoism, Shinto Falun Gong, Sikhism, Shamanism, Caodaism, not including folk religions). Just how complicated religion is can be realized when it is discovered that there are nearly 4,000 religions that each believe in there own deities, and many of the 11 main religions have evolved most of their traditions from of these other religions. The second hardest question: "How?" We don't know what the fate of humanity, so we ask this question but there are about 11 different responses, coming through 11 different filter lenses. The real 'how?' is addressed when attempting to align the focus of all religions. The hardest astronomical question is "What?" In order to ask this, you probably heard something beforehand. "God" speaks subtly, so listen up during near death experiences and extreme wrong doing. Don't just take my word for it. See for yourself. |
