Imagine if they had just sent 2 patrol officers instead of the SWAT team, then you would probably have an officer dead instead of a wounded one

I'm getting sick of how US citizens treat their own cops, i know i dont live there and i havent experienced it, but being from a country like Venezuela i would love to have a law enforcement like yours

Am I missing something here? The man is suspected of stealing a GUN... This is the perfect scenario for a SWAT team, these types of calls are generally the mandate of these teams in the first place. Since there is a gun, an escalated response is required.

I don't know about the SOPs this police department has, but I can tell you that in Canada our SWAT equivalent (called either ERT, ETF or TRU depending on the agency) is always deployed to calls where there is evidence of firearms being used or possessed criminally.

Wait!..., this took place two days ago (Sep 30). Where are the town folk? Shouldn't there have been an uprising, looting, and a burning of innocent shop owners businesses over this!

When you pull a gun on a cop people know you're supposed to get shot dead.

Some people get insanely outraged when someone gets killed 1)when reading a book 2)running away unarmed 3)selling single cigarettes on a street corner 4)waiting for your child in your car unarmed
5)when reaching for your ID

Burning down businesses is not the best way to get something done. Hopefully anger won't spread to residences

Taser should have never been attempted , man with a gun that requires lethal force ,not a taser ,could have ended very bad for the police

Idk if cop survived, I hope he did, but i see lack of professionalism here or else idk why in the hell they didn’t have guy with the shield in front of the door. I thought of it as soon as the officer start knocking on the door unprotected.
