Burning through any means seems like one of the worst ways to go. I can’t even imagine it. We’re all born through the vagina…yet life has and endless variety of ways to snuff us out. How terrible being the child or spouse of someone you’ve seen go like this. |

I can’t imagine that would be him. Sounded too close to the phone, and I’d imagine he’d be down by then due to smoke inhalation, or just… burning. The scream is still pretty upsetting though. Fuck. All that work bulking, getting your shit done right, only to end like this. I’ve always thought what if one of those forgetful folks just leave their burners on one night, and you wake up to a raging inferno in your condo. All it takes is one person in any of those units to fuck things up.  |

Well, considering I was in a house that burned down & I was completely blasted back by an incredible wall of flames, smoke, & heat when I opened a door trying to rescue a friend, I think I "probably" do understand how hot the irradiation from those flames is. That's why I couldn't understand why/how he ran into it. I'm fairly sure that I couldn't have run into that wall even if I was on a ledge as he was. I would've been over that ledge one way or another. Just sayin'.

I get what you’re saying but we have innate survival instincts and ass odd as it may seem to choose to continue to be roasted alive, or as easy as it seems watching a video to say I’d jump, it isn’t natural for us to just accept death and jump.

There are so many people who haven't chosen to jump instead of being burned (just think of 9/11). This is the first time I've seen someone run right into an intense wall of flames like that.
