On the afternoon of Tuesday, April 8, the Atlántico Police arrived at the scene where the lifeless body of a man showing clear signs of violence was discovered.

Local residents had found the body besides the Vía al Mar highway. The man’s face and arms were completely burned - his face having been reduced to a skull - apparently by a corrosive substance. However, his clothing remained untouched.
