Bloated Floater Found Underneath a Bridge in a Wastewater Canal
Colombia. Local authorities have launched an investigation following the discovery of a man's body underneath a bridge in a wastewater canal. The body was discovered last Sunday morning by local community members. The deceased is a Caucasian male of heavy build. The body was found in an advanced state of decomposition with severe facial disfigurement. I wonder what kind of "wastewater" that was (e.g. stormwater, industrial waste, pieces of poo, etc.). It obviously wasn't healthy for him regardless.  |

All. Many homeless people reside next to the canal. Because parts of Cali's older infrastructure merge stormwater drains with the sewer system, these open canals carry untreated toilet water from surrounding urban areas. It also contains soapy water from sinks, showers, laundry and chemicals from local businesses plus rainwater washes trash, motor oil, animal waste and street grime.
