Is it not then his civil disobedience to ignore the cops closing the freeway? It doesn't work if you have the right to do it, correct? This is why we have laws and enforcement of those laws. It escalates into anarchy. Let's say a cop, knowing there were protesters in the roadway, shot and killed the driver to stop him. The driver would be dead, the cop in jail, and the two girls would be alive. I know plenty of cops that would lay down their lives, and sadly, many who have. But I don't know a cop that will go to prison to save a life. See what happens when enforcement doesn't happen? More people die than just the criminal. |
