Re: Bleeding to Death from a Gunshot Wound to the Stomach
From what I've seen and read, Brazil law enforcement uses the .40 S&W. It's a wicked round for a handgun. The velocity of a 9mm in a larger caliber and heavier weight, equaling higher energy than the .45 ACP. It's hard to beat unless you fall for the idea that it has too much recoil.

Re: Bleeding to Death from a Gunshot Wound to the Stomach
The S&W MP .40 I own does have a fair amount of recoil but that can be mitigated to a certain degree by using lower grain rounds. I'm sure you already know this but I only mention it because I can definitely tell the difference between a 155 grain and a 180 grain round although I have heard they can go as high as 200 grain or as low as 105 grain. The only thing I don't like about my weapon is that it takes a little getting used to with the trigger travel compared with a glock or a sig.

Multiple vital organs get hit.. That bubbling coming out would also be indicative of a sucking chest wound.. Its at the lowest aspect where the lungs and liver could have been struck dependent upon the angle of the bullet..
