Seriously. No roots visible on the bottom of the tree whatsoever and there doesn't seem to be much of a hole where the tree once was. The shit that passes for infrastructure in developing countries blows my mind.  |

Palm trees have a limited root system, and the length of the roots does not increase to match the height of the tree. I'm surprised that these things are not falling down left and right all of the time.
