Colombia, in a shocking tragedy recorded on 45th Street in the Campo Hermoso neighborhood in Bucaramanga, an 83-year-old woman, identified as J. M. de Q, lost her life after being run over by a motorcyclist.

The fateful incident was recorded on a security camera video and occurred around 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 24.

The images show the victim on the separator of 45th Street between Carreras 1 and 2, west of the Campo Hermoso neighborhood.

The woman decided to cross the road, but as she did so, she was hit by a motorcycle that was traveling from east to west.

The motorcyclist dragged the woman several meters away from her, leaving her seriously injured.

Paramedics in ambulances went to the scene to help both the pedestrian and the motorcyclist, transporting them to the Bucaramanga Clinic.

Despite medical efforts, J. M. de Q. died the next day due to injuries sustained in the accident.

The Criminalistics Unit of the Bucaramanga Traffic Directorate carried out the technical inspection of the body and collected evidence about the road accident.

The street showed the drag mark of several meters left by the motorcycle.

The woman, a resident of the Campo Hermoso neighborhood for more than 50 years, had gone out to run an errand when the accident occurred, very close to her house.

Relatives pointed out that it is common to observe motorcyclists traveling at excessive speed on 45th Street and request the installation of speed bumps.

The body of the 83-year-old woman remains in the morgue of the Bucaramanga Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences while authorities continue to investigate the exact circumstances of the tragic event.

also that bike and traffic is moving fast in that street. There was room enough to not hit her imo but everyone is doing their own thing in traffic it often seems. No rational thinking or situational awareness.
