talk about being at the wrong place at the wrong time!...if either of them were travelling a mile or 2 per hour slower or faster, this wouldnt have happened...also both of them blow through an intersection with no fear!

You are incorrect. Being on call is taken into account, but being an emergency services driver does not give you a get out of jail free card.
