Re: Biker Dies Hitting a Car Turning Right
If he had veered just a bit to his left, I think he could avoided hitting it. He couldn’t have been paying any attention, it doesn’t even look like he brakes or has any reaction to this car. I am confused as to how those lanes work tho. Because how tf are you going to have a right turn lane, be the furthest away? So really, family could sue the city for the shit job at road way planning. Are both lanes, one ways? Ugh! It’s making no sense to me. Was the killer car in a parking lane? Because the car looks like it was paused or had been in park and then was pulling away to make that turn. But then if that’s the case...there’d have to be a traffic light to indicate who can turn. Or they are in/oncoming lanes, so that would mean the killer car was driving on the wrong lane! |

Re: Biker Dies Hitting a Car Turning Right
To me, looks like it was a single lane as the lines were solid and unbroken. Car looked stopped off road, then pulled in front of bike to go down side lane. I could be wrong, but that's my interpretation.

Re: Biker Dies Hitting a Car Turning Right
I don't think motorcyclist could have avoid this while going as fast as he was. I also don't think that is a parking lane, maybe the driver of the car was a bit lost and driving like a retard, but this accident is 75% car for driving like an oblivious idiot and 25% motorcycle for speeding thru an area like this |

Re: Biker Dies Hitting a Car Turning Right
Both the driver and rider are at fault. The driver for turning across a lane of traffic, and not yielding to let the biker safely pass, and the biker for not being aware of what's ahead, and slowing down or maneuvering accordingly.
