Biker Dead, Other Injured when Fleeing Car Runs a Red Light
A motorcyclist died and another was seriously injured after a car runs a red traffic light and collided with 2 motorcycles Friday morning in the western region of Belo Horizonte. According to the Military Police, the car, which was being driven by a 20-year-old man and had a 28-year-old passenger, was traveling in the center direction but was tailed by a MP vehicle to check the vehicle's situation via radio, as his occupants came over being suspicious. At that moment, the individuals noticed the MP vehicle and tried to escape, ignoring the red traffic light and turning left. However, as the traffic light on the opposite side was green, two motorcyclists hit the car, which ended up on a pole. The driver tried to escape but was caught by the police on a nearby road. The passenger stayed inside the car and was arrested. After the arrival of the Civil Police investigation, the death of one of the motorcyclists was confirmed. The other had serious injuries and was rescued by Samu. During the car search a firearm was found. |

Re: Biker Dead, Other Injured when Fleeing Car Runs a Red Light
Ive wanted to learn how to ride a motorcycle for a while now, but this is the type of video that really turns me off to the whole idea lol. It seems like being a responsible rider is dangerous enough without having to deal with the random stupidity/recklessness of other drivers.

Re: Biker Dead, Other Injured when Fleeing Car Runs a Red Light
It might be real fun on empty roads away from traffic ala Easy Rider, but traffic and motorcycles don't seem to mix. You aren't as visible as a car. The old saying is one accident and you will sell your bike. Lots of people call them "donor cycles" for a reason...
