Brazil, Motorcyclist Gustavo F. d. S, 24, died after losing control of his motorcycle while performing a wheelie and crashing into the side of a Hillux pick-up truck on Monday afternoon.

The young man pops a wheelie on his motorcycle, loses control, veers into oncoming traffic, and collides into the side of the truck traveling in the opposite direction. With the impact, the motorcycle is thrown and hits the rider when he was sliding on the pavement.

Gustavo was rescued by a team from the Mobile Emergency Care Service and taken to the hospital, but he did not survive his injuries.

The truck driver told police that he was driving along the highway when he saw the motorcyclist do a wheelie and then cross into the oncoming lane. The driver was given a breathalyzer test, which came back negative for alcohol consumption.

According to the police, both the truck driver and the motorcyclist were licensed drivers. The Toyota Hilux was released to its owner at the scene. The Honda Titan 160, driven by Gustavo, had an expired registration and was towed to an authorized impound lot.

According to the Civil Police, the circumstances of the accident will be investigated by the Specialized Police Station for Criminal Offenses and Others.
