The FAL uses the 7.62 x 51 round. (You tried to sneak an extra millimeter of case length in there.  )Interesting factoid about the FAL. It was originally designed to fire the Nazi 7.92×33mm Kurz. The round used in the Stg 44. Of course, the NATO guys weren't having any of that and went with the 7.62 NATO round. |

It looks like the round bounced off the pavement before hitting him - the round was sideways and deformed, likely the reason for the massive entry wound  |
