Concur. I get a bit disgusted by the empathetic or pseudo empathetic comments I sometimes read on DR. Like people really come to this site to express their sympathy for the victims: "Oh poor so and so, such a tragedy, blah blah blah." That's not why we (nearly all of us) come here, and at least most of us don't pretend that we do. Yes, there are exceptions to any psychological generalization like this - my apologies to the genuine exceptions.

I LOL'd.  Also, the kid getting run over by the van was the funniest part. You're all like, "Oh no, oh no, he's gonna walk into the road and get hit by traffic!" Then you're like, "Oh, well, maybe not. Looks like he's just gonna play with the tag on that parked van. That was a close call." And then you're like, "OHGODITHAPPENEDANYWAY!" Gonna be playing this one for a lot of folks at parties, guaranteed.  |
