Belgian Citizen Killed in Accident at Ramps of International Airport in D.R.
A Belgian citizen, riding a Yamaha Passola motorcycle, died last Friday around 7 PM after being hit by a Mitsubishi Montero SUV driven by the Dominican taxi driver G. E. M. C . who dragged him several meters on one of the ramps of the International Airport of the Americas (AILA) in D.R. The 67-year-old deceased was accompanied by his daughter, who, fortunately, was not injured, although due to the shock of the accident she had to be transferred to a health center.  It was known that the name of the deceased Belgian is P. W, a resident of Boca Chica who, at the time of the incident, was traveling on a motorcycle to the aforementioned air terminal with the purpose of leaving the country when he was hit by a vehicle. The cabbie is being held by the Dominican authorities and is expected to be brought to justice in the coming hours. This often happens in the DR. I no longer visit due to this reason. The rule there is that is no rules.  |
