the thing that pisses me off is that there is nothing in islam that says this stuff is ok to do. these types of people are the fanatics as we call them, also the ones who follow shiaa' islam....sunni doesnt do this. shiaa are from back in the barbarian days when islam was first created. they took onto the religion but gave it their own barbaric torturistic twist and this is why sunni and shiaa muslims are always fighting. sunni wants these people off the map and shiaa just keep killing thier way to the top.
I would have to agree with that. Perhaps if they funnelled more oil money into technology they could invest in planes and other more advanced armaments, so they could then bomb the living fuck out of their adversaries, you know, like the christian american war machine that rips the shreads out of non-targeted innocents by the thousands...much more effectively than any knife could ever do. They are just low tech barbarians. We, on the other hand are high tech barbarians...who don't even get blood on our physical hands. And there is in chrisianity plenty of scripture to support death and destruction, servitude and slavery, so maybe Islam is the gentler of the two religions.
I think a very small dose of common sense, applied to the incredibly obtuse and mother-goosish claims of god's 'goodness' or 'love', reveals in one fucking instant, the extremely obvious, and stupefyingly insipid, nature of those claims.
The good that individuals or groups do (be they religious or not), in no way balances out the godforsaken and terrifying havoc, played out in the name of god.
Alright, I think I can step down off my soap box now...now that I'm feeling so much better.
