These people are all shit basically. They must have a very different set of morals than I do. There is NOTHING moral, about murdering someone who stole food. The people that stole were simply trying to survive. I realize that the owners of the goat were probably also quite poor, but like I said, there is no way you can justify murdering someone who stole because of hunger. They are trying to inflict pain on the 2 thieves, as if the thieves need to experience more pain. I'm sure their life has already been pretty shitty up to this point. Punishment does nothing to deter hungry people from stealing food.
