A popular influencer bodybuilder has been killed in a horrific gym accident – and the entire grim moment was caught on camera.

J.V., who was a competitive bodybuilder in Bali, was attempting to squat-press 210 kilogrammes in a gym in Sanur.

But things went tragically wrong when the 33-year-old, who has around 33,000 followers on Instagram, ended up with his neck being snapped as the weights landed on him.

Spotter in the back killed him… for one.. spotter didn’t use double hook technique under squatters arms to help him lift it when he failed.. two he pull the weight back making both of them fall and the weight crushes his neck.. that’s fucking terrible.

squat is such a dangerous exercise no matter what you say, a spotter can't really do anything if you can't finish your move cause he can at best remove 20% of the weight unlike spotting a bench where you can remove 80% of the weight. Use something that can hold the barbell if you can't get back up, a spotter cannot do a lot and the move constrain you in a way you can't give up the weight without harming yourself.
