A police constable, Samrat B., committed suicide by shooting himself in the head with his service rifle whilst serving as a guard at an armoury. No reason on what led him to take his life has yet been released.

You can only salute his professionalism, he cautiously closed the armory after picking up the AK and put the key back in the drawer.

The deceased constable’s wife, Puja B, is a female police member serving in Satkhira district.

However, the exact cause of death has not yet been officially confirmed. Police said detailed information will be disclosed after the investigation is completed.

The vicitm joined the unit on November 3 last year and was known for his good conduct.

He was on duty from 4 am to 6 am. At around 4.30 am, he allegedly shot himself by placing his issued Chinese rifle against his head.
