Re: Bangladeshi Man Stumbles, Gets Split in Half by Train
It's hard to stop a train. It's not so hard to stop an idiot.

Re: Bangladeshi Man Stumbles, Gets Split in Half by Train
If you watch the first clip in slo-mo, after he’s been bisected he reaches up and forward, even if this wasn’t a conscious movement it perhaps explains how / why his upper torso got a little more flipped and spread around by the second clip?

Re: Bangladeshi Man Stumbles, Gets Split in Half by Train
I think it would have been pretty instant because of how damaged the torso is. To lose consciousness immediately you'd need to crush the brain or lose consciousness because of a trauma that fully interferes with the brain such as damage to the brainstem or a massive change in blood pressure. From what I can tell of the remaining carcass, it would seem pretty amazing if the brainstem hadn't been ruptured or massive squishing of blood upward or immediate exsanguination of the head. This was much more disruptive to the operation of the brain in the following couple of seconds than, say, a guillotine and probably a professional long drop hanging. When powerful forces or rapid accelerations are applied to the human body, structures and normal connections breakdown. For example the attachments between muscles and tendons and muscle and skin and acid and stomach, bones and tendons etc and so we, in essence, become large bags of thick liquid with some bones mixed in and a couple of small openings in the bag. So you get massive disruption of the person's body. organs breaking free of their normal attachments, soft organs blending, skin and muscle stretching, degloving and splitting, ballooning, bursting. |
