Bangladesh - 7 People Swept Away During Religious Ceremony
Seven people died in the state of North Bengal during a ritual ceremony. The flow of water washed away the believers into the flooded river.

Is it hard to swim to the sides or does that only work in the movies?

Re: Bangladesh - 7 People Swept Away During Religious Ceremony
Depends on the current, but it looked doable here if you could manage to keep calm and angle yourself towards the shore and let the water do the work. That's probably a tall order though, a lot of non-swimmers in that part of the world.

Perhaps the ritual was "Floating on the water" and they were all believers? It's all God's will, after all. |
