Bandit Shot, Falling 100 Meters Down from a Hill Top to His Death
Rio, Brazil. Last Monday a battle between police and drug traffickers took place on a hill near a favela. Special police forces arrested drug dealers and seized weapons and drugs. The sound of gunfire and grenade explosions could be heard. Eight thugs were arrested. Two got wounded by bullets and six surrendered when they were trapped in the woods, in the highest part of the slum. Another three died during the shootout while three police officers got injured. One of the thugs was hiding on a hill slope but was hit by a bullet and fell over 100 meters to his death. Police did not say whether the suspect was killed by gunfire or due to the fall. |
