Re: Baltimore Cop Empties Mag on Suspect Threatening Woman with Knife.
From the article: "Fourteen shots were discharged from the officer's weapon. Is that use of force justified or is this a case of excessive force?" Uh, considering that he was still waving the knife around after the last shot, yeah, I'd say it was justified. "What are the resources or programs that are in place or need to be put in place when there are patterns of mental health crisis in order to circumvent incidences that may cause harm to self or others?" I have no problem with that question, but did this guy have a pattern? Or are we just immediately turning to mental illness as an excuse? "What are the changes to training or policy that BPD will need to implement as a result of this incident?" I think the question you should be asking is, what changes can we make to society so that people stop being violent with each other? Of course I don't really think there is such a thing, unfortunately. |

I dunno, that last shot seemed not really needed...

Re: Baltimore Cop Empties Mag on Suspect Threatening Woman with Knife.
I really wish journalist would stick to the facts and not make shit up. Even though the cop acted to save the woman's life, you're gonna have people pointing to this as evidence of a "Cover-up" when the truth would've been completely fine as it was justified. |
