Explanation: A 36-year-old Vietnamese man, Nguyễn Xuân Đạt, was killed inside the former headquarters of the Market Surveillance Team No. 4 in Hữu Lũng Commune, Lạng Sơn Province after he arrived there on January 25, 2025 following contact with 57-year-old Đoàn Văn Sáng, a former deputy head of that unit, and police investigations later showed that Sáng fatally attacked him and then attempted to clean the scene, destroy evidence and dispose of the body before authorities were alerted; forensic identification and investigative work by the Ministry of Public Security and Lạng Sơn Provincial Police confirmed the victim’s identity and linked the suspect to the crime scene, leading to an official prosecution order on November 28 2025 and a warrant for Sáng’s temporary detention on November 29 under murder charges under the 2015 Penal Code, with authorities publicly confirming the murder charge, the suspect’s arrest and detention, and the ongoing legal process as investigators continue to gather evidence and expand the case (no confirmed official motive beyond the murder charge has been released).
