Its called counter steering. It's the best, and sometimes only way to turn a motorcycle. It's how beginners die. On a motorcycle you turn the "steering wheel" (bars) left to go right, and turn right to go left. That's why he hit that truck. He was confused. He was turning the wheel right, but it was turning him left. At really slow speeds you can turn the bike buy turning the wheel the direction you want to go. The faster you go the more you have to turn the wheel the opposite direction of where you want to go. I guess the best way to explain it is you lean to turn, but to keep the bike from falling you turn the wheel the opposite direction to keep the bike from wrecking. It keeps your front wheel from turning underneath you as they say. |

Yeah no ones going to be able to comprehend countersteer unless they ride. Just like I can talk about how you can quickly steer one way, then back the other, to, "wag" the wheels around an object like a pothole or truck...
