Re: Art Pollard, Salt Walther, Swede Savage and Armando Teran: The Tragic 1973 Indy 500
Interesting vids I remember seeing another video or pic on here with a similar crash and another driver running out to try and get his friend out of the wreckage...does anyone know what I'm talking about? |

Re: Art Pollard, Salt Walther, Swede Savage and Armando Teran: The Tragic 1973 Indy 500
I have been at every Indianapolis 500 since 1988, and the 73 race always makes me sad when I think about what happened. I really am glad I was too young to be at that race. |

Re: Art Pollard, Salt Walther, Swede Savage and Armando Teran: The Tragic 1973 Indy 500
Thats so awesome, I have been to 2 Indy 500s 1989 when Fittipaldi took out Unser mon turn 3 and won (so awesome at 11 years old) and 1991 when Mears won his last (again so amazing) its hard when you live in California and your dad used to work 90hrs a week with no time off Looking back I cant even dream of how we went to 2 of them! And I agree 73 would have been horrible as a fan in the stands |
