Update: Tais has been acquitted. The Court of Justice of Paraná acquitted, on Friday (23), Tais Matias Teixeira, 27, understanding that she stabbed her ex-boyfriend, Lucas Vinícius Lourenço Vieira, 25, to defend herself from an attack. Tais was charged with aggravated homicide for a frivolous reason. She was imprisoned for five months, but in March 2025 she was granted the right to respond to the charges while free, wearing an electronic ankle monitor. However, judges from the 1st Criminal Chamber analysed the case and concluded that the young woman acted in self-defence. The case's rapporteur noted Tais' history of domestic violence, but the court ruled that Tais only attacked when Lucas violently lunged at her. The decision also highlights that, immediately after injuring Lucas, she screams for help and tries to stop the bleeding — behaviour consistent with the absence of intent, according to the document. With this decision, the process is concluded. Tais will not face a jury trial, and all precautionary measures, such as the use of an electronic ankle monitor, have been revoked. |

No one even bothered to call emergency services because when they do, it takes them hours to get there at the least an hour and if they’re calling over something that hasn’t tragically happened like an argument possibilities they’re not gonna even come sometimes they don’t even come when there’s this depends …ya real talk…these other countries. People don’t understand how good we have it here.
