Not everyone is a scaredy-cat millennial living in a Malibu type aristocracy. At first glance you're seeing a violent tussle with stabbing, instinct tells you the victim "probably deserves it", drug rip gone wrong, gang reprisals, whose to tell one mugger from the other...take your pick. More often than not people who mix in are just bloodthirsty opportunist themselves rather than a good Samaritan.  |

I have heard people who were stabbed say they thought they had been punched and it took a while to realize what had happened. Just give up the goods!
