if he would have held his position his shield would have taken the impact instead of his leg, not to mention the hole he opened up in the line exposing the other officers to the blast. but you cant fault him for trying  |

To be honest they wouldnt have been badly harmed if they were harmed at all if they just kept their shields down hand grenades dont do alot

Didn't that guy even know the basics of explosives. By the time the grenade reached them, the pin had already been pulled long enough for it to be a danger. He treated that live grenade like it was a nuisance more than anything.

A grenade can easily penetrate a riot shield up to 5 meter away, nothing short of dragon skin vest can protect you from grenade shrapnels at point blank range and your head will still receive lots of uncomfortable steel pieces
