She was left-handed, so when she stepped off holding on, she pulled the knot around to that side. There are two carotid arteries in the neck. If you want to cut off blood flow in both, the knot has to be in back with a non-slip-knot noose like that one. She went out pretty quick, but there was a little blood still going to her brain, and her flopping around slid the noose even more to the side, so she got a second wind, so to speak. That's when she came to somewhat and tried to pull herself up. But she probably wasn't ever strong enough to do that, much less after hanging awhile unable to breath. And she never tried to step back up on the table after the first second, so she was not 100% at that point. Suffocation did her in at last. Best real hanging ever seen on the internet.

Dropping in my thoughts. It was an almost open loop, and slightly tilted to the side. I guess both carotids were closed OK but left vertebral still open, thus the blue face. And it seems some veins on the left side were slightly open as well, so the systolic blood pressure level in her head pushed blood down through them, creating a circulation that was enough for her to wake up several times. Ugh, I pity her, usually the hanging is a quick way down into oblivion...

Think about how blood circulation works, why would you need to cut the flow to both sides of the carotid? One side will do.

Get two fingers and find your carotid, now press firmly, if you are doing it correctly you will start to feel yourself going in 20 seconds or so.

And another thing, she hung herself correctly, if the noose had of been at the back of her neck she would have strangled to death slowly. Shit, I hope you never take up medicine.

The best hanging video I've seen. It's supposed to be painless if you do it right, if you cut down the blood circulation to your brain. Not so fun if you strangulate yourself to death. And I don't know if snapping your neck hurts. I'd probably aim for the first way.

What do you mean by "both sides of the carotid"? There are two separate carotid arteries, one on each side. Each one alone is sufficient to keep you conscious and alive. Read a fucking book.
